former features reporter class of 2017
Campbell Hannan is a Durham Academy junior and is very excited to be starting this year on The Green and White. Even though this is her first year as a reporter, she has always loved writing and journalism. As a child she loved to write “newspapers” for her family about all the extremely important news going on in her life. Campbell is an avid reader and finds herself at her happiest when she is curled up on the couch with a blanket, a good book, and a cup of Twining’s English Breakfast tea. She plays soccer and swims for DA, specializing in backstroke and breaststroke. If there is one thing that Campbell enjoys most in her life, it is listening to music. She loves all different kinds of music; some of her favorite artists include Taylor Swift, Twenty One Pilots, Halsey, and Panic! at the Disco. She listens to music on all platforms, through her headphones, on CDs, even on vinyl, and loves to spend hours just listening to her favorite records spin on her record player. Efficiency is one of the traits that Campbell prides herself on most. When focused, she is able to sit down to a task, or several tasks, and finish it/them without interruption, something she finds is challenging for many of her peers. The free time that Campbell does not spend reading or listening to music, she spends, as many other teenagers do, on Netflix. She loves terrible movies and thoroughly enjoys getting caught up in suspenseful TV shows. Grey’s Anatomy is one of her favorites. Campbell has been interested in writing for a long time, and is very excited to begin writing for The Green and White!
