former photographer class of 2016
Stephanie Jaffe is a senior at Durham Academy. She is usually either very tired, weirdly energetic, or some mixture of the two. She plays volleyball on DA's varsity team and loves photography, be it studio photography, street photography, or photojournalism. In her free time, she likes to add to her playlists on Spotify, which she takes great pride in, and watch TV shows like Grey's Anatomy, How I Met Your Mother, and Avatar: The Last Airbender. Her greatest sources of artistic inspiration are the sky, reflections, and strong diagonal lines. She enjoys driving through long country roads and has almost crashed her car multiple times because she was watching the sunset. She also enjoys sitting in her Eno hammock, and is more productive when she works in it because she has trouble getting out. She gets distracted very easily, which is why it is taking her a very long time to write this bio, and she thinks talking about herself in the third person is weird. She will shamelessly drink Frappuccinos from Starbucks when given the opportunity, although the sugar and coffee mixture can make her overly hyper, resulting in the aforementioned weirdly energetic mood. Her friends have accepted this type of mood and have learned to deal with it through experience, for which she is very grateful. Her friends are very important to her, and she probably would have dropped out of school by now without them.
