former sports reporter class of 2016
Will Heard was born in San Diego, California, has lived in Boise, Idaho, and currently lives in Durham, North Carolina. He is a senior in Mr. Speir’s advisory and plays lacrosse for DA and swims on the swim team. His favorite classes are Environmental Science and AP Shakespeare, taught by Mr. Wilson. He also greatly enjoys going to DA JV and varsity soccer games because his brother and friends are on the team. His favorite sports to watch are college basketball and professional football, and his favorite teams are Duke and the San Diego Chargers. His favorite athlete and role model for all life decisions is Philip Rivers, the quarterback for the Chargers. A great family man and philanthropist, Rivers is also one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, according to expert football analyst and Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer. He also achieves his success not by the deflation of game balls or any other form of cheating, but through pure, untainted hard work. Will also greatly enjoys ESPN Fantasy Football and is on track to crush all opponents in his current league. At any point, you can approach Will and discuss all things football, Chargers, fantasy, or even what the appropriate punishment should be for cheating in the playoffs. Will’s hopes and dreams are hinged on him being drafted in the first round of the NFL draft after his first year in college but in the unlikely event that his dream doesn’t come true, he will become a doctor.
